About Alberta Tails

Our journey started in 2017 when we got our very first doxie, Noodles.

Although she is not apart of our breeding program she is very much the queen of our home. With every little wiggle and wag she made us fall in love and started us on our journey of learning about the history of one of the greatest breeds ever.

All of our miniature Dachshund puppies are raised inside our home with lots of love and care. They are socialized daily with other animals and children and all of our pups are part of our family!

Our dogs are bred first and foremost to have great temperaments.

All of our dogs are health tested for eyes, cardio, PRA and patellas.

All of our puppies are sold with a genetic guarantee.

Puppies are all sold as pets only – we will not issue breeding contracts.

Dog Breeder in Strathcona County

Sherwood Park Dachshunds

We at Alberta Tails want to bring you the highest quality dachshund puppies we possibly can!

How it works

Because we classify as a small breeder, we do not have puppies all year-round! (nor should any reputable breeder have puppies available ALL the time).

Joining our waiting list is the best way to ensure you will have a new furry friend to take home. If you would like to join our waitlist, please contact us as soon as possible so you can be added early.

Once we approve your application for your new dachshund puppy, we require a $300 deposit to keep a pup on hold for you. Please remember that deposits are non-refundable.

We are available for any questions or breeder support day and night! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Our Forever-friends

We Care So Much About Our Puppies…

All our pups are part of our family! In the event that you are no longer in a position to care for our pups, we require them to be returned to us – no matter how long it has been!

This happens more often than you might think.

Please help us make sure that none of our pups ever end up in a shelter! We promise no hard feelings.
